High-Energy NAEPE Solid-State Battery (>300Wh/kg) for Electric Bicycle application

NAEPE solid-state electrolytes can increase the current range by at least 15% and effectively improve the safety of lithium batteries, providing a safer usage environment for applications including mobile 3C products, electric vehicles, and energy storage systems. Developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the key material (NAEPE-2020R&D100) is compatible with current lithium battery processes.

(1)    By conducting flame-retardant, catalytically cross-linkable NAEPE electrolytes into a cell, high-activity, high-energy density lithium-ion electrode materials can be protected. Even used it in a battery of >5Ah at 300Wh/kg, it can still pass the IEC 62660-3 overcharging test standards. 

 

(2)    Maintaining its basic performance (2C Crate), it can be improved the cycle performance by at least 15%.
